Utilizing a 1970's old hotel structure to bring life to an up and coming area of Miami, the hotel maintained brand standards as it also pushed the limits of feeling unique to the area. With updated facade and room layout the challenges went beyond interiors.
Located next to 95 south highway this iconic structure that had sat vacant for over 10 years it has great visibility. The central location just minutes south of Miami Beach or north to Aventura with some of the best shopping this was the perfect location for tourist and working traveler.
Preliminary concept designs reflected the direction Holiday Inn brand as a whole was moving towards as well as incorporating a fresh and new look that would integrate with the local feel. Working with building constraints bring exterior light and openness to the space was the largest challenge. Lounge areas for co-working as well a small eating space.
With limited height and space the corridors incoporated modern wall lighitng and custom carpet. The rooms maintained brand specifications with some local elements.
